Bob Kinne comes to BSU from the Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). Eighteen games into the 2012-13 campaign, Kinne has seven points (3g-4a) and is fifth on the team in scoring. He opened the season scoring in the Bobcats’ first two games and netted his first NAHL tally Sept. 13 at Port Huron.
Bismarck is third in the NAHL’s Central Division with a record of 8-9-1.
Prior to Bismarck, Kinne, the younger brother of former Bemidji State captain Ben Kinne, played for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL. In 39 games, he collected six goals and two assists for eight points, which included three points (1g-2a) in five playoff games.
Kinne piled up 95 points (42g-53a) in 54 games while playing high school hockey at Cretin-Derham Hall. As a senior in 2010-11, he led the Raiders to a 14-9-4 record and a trip to the section playoffs with a team-leading 53 points (22g-31a). He recorded 16 multi-point games, which included four four-point efforts and three hat tricks. The Raiders were 10-2-2 when Kinne scored a goal.
Born to Michael and Caroline Kinne on May 15, 1992... He is undecided on a major field of study... Bob has had two brothers that have previously attended BSU... Recently Ben Kinne on the Beavers hockey roster (2008-13)...
