Prior to BSU
Wilkins joins the BSU men's ice hockey team to open 2013 after playing three years as a starting goalie in the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). Wilkins started his junior career in Sioux Lookout, Ontario playing for the Flyers in the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL), and in his rookie year was named Team MVP. He was also a finalist for the League MVP during that year. Wilkins finished his final two years in the CJHL as a Melfort Mustang of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), where he was selected Team MVP in both years. As a three-year veteran of the CJHL, Wilkins recorded 6500 minutes of regular-season action, facing 4314 shots, making 3900 saves maintaining an overall .904 save percentage.
Born to Doug and Sharon Wilkins of Calgary Alberta on October 21st, 1992…Wilkins has selected Business Administration as his major… Jesse had two great uncles, Bill and Bob Carse, who both played for the Chicago Blackhawks.
