Recorded first collegiate hat trick and became the first BSU player in more than four years to net three goals in a game in a 8-6 loss to Minnesota State (11/11/17)... Posted second career hat trick with a career-best four points (3g-1a) in a 5-1 win versus UAA (12/16/17)... Was named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week (12/18/17) after recording five points (4g-1a) to help lead BSU to a series sweep of Alaska Anchorage... Dickman played in 26 games for Bemidji State... Recorded a career-high 13 goals and 7 assists for a total of 20 points.
2016-17 / RS-Sophmore
Appeared in 39 of 41 games for the Beavers and registered six goals and seven assists to lead all BSU sophomores with 13 points... Tied for the team lead, and 13th nationally, with four game-winning goals... Was third on the team with four power-play goals... Recorded two multi-point games as a sophomore, which included a career-high two assists in a 4-0 win versus Alaska-Anchorage (10/29/16)... Fourth on the team with a rating of +3 plus/minus rating... BSU was 9-1-1 when he posted a point.

2015-16 / RS-Freshman
Played in 18 games and scored three goals... Was the leading goal-scorer among Beaver freshman... Scored his first collegiate goal in a victory over Alaska (11/14/15)... Recorded a career-high two goals including the game-winner vs. Arizona State (1/15/16)... Posted a season-high five shots on goal at Alabama Huntsville (11/27/15)... Had 29 shots on goal.

2014-15 / Freshman

Prior to BSU
Dickman is a two-year veteran of the Austin Bruins of the NAHL. In his two seasons in Austin, Dickman scored 119 points to capture the Bruins' all-time scoring record. In 2013-14, Dickman led the Bruins to the NAHL Robertson Cup Championship, scoring 28 goals and 36 assists for 64 points in 59 games. As the NAHL's second leading scorer, Dickman competed in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament and was also apart of the 2013-14 NAHL All-Division (Central Division) Team. Also posted a +36 rating, and scored eight power play goals, five game winning goals, and 14 points in 14 games during the 2014 NAHL playoffs.

In 2012-13, Dickman was apart of the 2012-13 All-NAHL Rookie First Team, scoring 23 goals and 32 assists for 55 points in 55 games.

A two-sport athlete at St. Paul Johnson High School, Dickman participated in hockey and golf. A four-year letterwinner in hockey and golf, Dickman was a two-year all conference winner for hockey, a member of the all-state team for hockey, and a four-year all conference winner in golf. Was also a captain for both the hockey and golf teams.

Jay Karl Dickman was born to Karl and Betsy Dickman June 6th. 1993... Jay is majoring in Sport Management... Father, Karl, was a football and basketball player at Hamline University... Cousins, Bill and Bryce Methven played for the Beavers from 2000-2004.
