2016-17 / Freshman
Played in 9 games for the Beavers... Posted 2 goals, 6 penalty minutes and tied for seventh on the team in plus/minus with a +2 rating... Scored his first goal in a 4-0 win over Alaska Anchorage (10-29-16). McCrory finished the season with a +2 rating.
Prior to BSU
McCrory most recenlty played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the Brooks Bandits. McCrory was the lone Bandit to appear in all 60 regular season games and was the leading scorer with 70 points (24g-46a). The sixth-leading scorer in the AJHL guided Brooks to a South Division title and a 49-9-2 record as he recorded five game-winning goals and 18 points on the man advantage. McCrory opened his debut season in the AJHL scoring six points (2g-4a) in the first two regular season games, earning AJHL Player of the Week. McCrory owned a season-best eight-game point-streak from Nov. 1-Dec. 3 with 11 points (4g-7a) and also recorded three points in eight games, including one hat trick.
McCrory was named the AJHL Finals MVP after leading the Bandits over the Spruce Grove Saints and has matched a team record with 11 goals and 15 points (11g-4a) in 13 playoff games this season.
In 2014-15, McCrory played for the Brockville Braves in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). He finished as the Brave’s sixth-leading scorer and third-leading goal scorer with 38 points (21g-17a) in 45 games played.
Before joining the junior hockey ranks, McCrory spent two years playing for Kent School in the Founders League, part of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). McCrory scored 45 points (20g-25a) in 42 games over two seasons, which included a Founders League championship in 2014.
Dylan McCrory was born to Darryl McCrory and Noreen Napieracz on April 13th, 1995 in Montreal, Canada... Dylan will major in Economics at BSU.
