Has participated in 28 games as a freshman... Debut as a Beaver when BSU opened the season Oct. 9 and posted his first collegiate goal the following night as BSU completed a nonconference sweep over Air Force, 7-3 (10/10/09)... Netted his first assist in the green and white Oct. 24 in a 5-0 BSU win at Northern Michigan... Posted helpers in back-to-back games at Minnesota (11/15/09) and versus Ala.-Huntsville (11/20/09)... Added an assist in each game of the Beavers’ CHA series at Niagara Jan. 15-16, which included a helper on the deciding goal in a 4-3 win over the Purple Eagles (1/16/10)... Collected an assist in the Beavers’ 2009-10 home finale (2/20/10)--the final game in the John S. Glas Fieldhouse--BSU’s hockey home since 1967... Contributed a helper in the next game as he posted his third two-game scoring string of his rookie campaign (2/26/10)... BSU is 9-1-0 in games that he records a point. Prior to BSU Wacker spent three seasons as a defenseman for the Humbolt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL)... In 2008-09, he finished third in the league in scoring, pacing the Broncos to their third consecutive SJHL Credit Union Cup with 17 goals and 65 assists for 82 points... His 65 assists led all SJHL players and his total of 50 points on the power play (10g-40a) was second to none. Wacker, the Broncos’ captain, concluded the 2008-09 regular season as the first player in SJHL history to be selected as the league’s Player of the Year and its Defenseman of the Year while he fell just six points shy of the league’s scoring championship... The five-time SJHL Defenseman of the Week in 2008-09, was also named to the SJHL ITECH Conference All-Star roster and was a finalist for the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s (CJHL) National Player of the Year. Highlights of the 2008-09 season include: Thirty-one multi-point contests... The defenseman also assembled a 15-game scoring streak stretching from Oct. 22 to Dec. 7 during which he posted eight goals and 28 assists. Wacker and the Broncos extended their season to May by advancing the Royal Bank Cup Finals... Humbolt fell short of a repeat Junior “A” National Championship falling to the Vernon Vipers.
