3/10/2010 - ATHLETICS CHA Tournament preview featured on Sports in the Round

BEMIDJI, Minn.  -- The weekly radio show, “Sports in the Round,” which is held on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. at The Ground Round, will head east this week as Brian Schultz has put together a College Hockey America Tournament preview from Dwyer Arena in Lewiston, N.Y., the home of Niagara University and the site of the 2010 CHA Tournament. The Bemidji State men’s hockey team looks to defend its tournament title in the final post-season get-together of the CHA.

The show will feature a plethora of BSU guests, including men’s hockey head coach Tom Serratore, assistant coach Bert Gilling, the 2009-10 Beaver senior class of Kyle Hardwick (Sr., D, Warroad, Minn.), Tyler Lehrke (Sr., F, Park Rapids, Minn.), Chris McKelvie (Sr., F, New Brighton, Minn.) and Chris Peluso (Sr., D, Wadena, Minn.) and BSU points leader Matt Read (Jr., F, Ilderton, Ontario).

Also appearing on the show are the coaches from the other three teams in the league, No. 2-seed Robert Morris’ Derek Schooley, No. 3-seed Ala.Huntsville’s Danton Cole and No. 4-seed Niagra’s Dave Burkholder. The top-seeded Beavers will play Niagara at 6 p.m. (CST), while Robert Morris will battle Ala.-Huntsville in the other semifinal at 2 p.m. (CST) Friday.  Semifinal winners will advance to the CHA Championship at 7 p.m. Saturday.
