Beaver Pride, the BSU Department of Athletics and its men’s hockey program invite the public to join them to learn the Beavers’ first round fate together and to celebrate the NCAA Tournament berth over brunch at the Hungry Bear Banquet and Conference Center. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the selection show will begin at 10:30 a.m. Cost for the brunch, a desert and a drink is $15. A cash bar will also be available. The Hungry Bear Banquet and Conference Center is located at 2300 24th Street NW right behind the Home Depot. For those unable to attend, the 30-minute selection show will be televised on ESPN2 at 10:30 a.m. Paul Bunyan Telephone customers can view the show on channel 52 or on 552 for PBTV Digital customers. Local residents that subscribe to Midcontinent Communications Cable service can watch the show on channel 26 or 774 for digital subscribers. Those in the area who have satellite cable service can tune to 209 for the DirecTV broadcast or get ESPN2 on Dish Network channel 144. Bemidji State is on the cusp of its fourth appearance in the NCAA Division I Tournament and its 30th year of post-season play. The Beavers, who are in line to gain their first at-large bid in program history, will travel to one of four regional host locations which include: St. Paul, Minn., Fort Wayne, Ind., Albany, N.Y. or Worcester, Mass. Regional play runs March 26-28 with the four regional winners advancing to the Frozen Four held this year April 8-10 at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. --bsu-- ![]() |
