Bemidji State softball falls to Northwood and Lake Erie

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The Bemidji State softball team fell to Northwood University and Lake Erie College on the fifth day of The Spring Games in non-conference action Thursday afternoon. The Beavers (8-12) fell to the Timberwolves 5-2 in the day’s first action and later fell 4-0 to the Storm.

Bemidji State was held to just two runs and four hits in its 5-2 loss to Northwood in its first action of the day. The Beavers scored their only runs of the game in the bottom of the seventh when senior Olivia Tucker blasted a two-run home run. Junior Stephi Dullum pitched all seven innings and allowed five runs, one earned off of six hits and had one strikeout and falls to 3-3 on the season.

In game two, the Beavers were held to just two hits with Tucker collecting both of the Beavers’ hits. Sophomore Kaidron McClafferty pitched 4.0 innings for the Beavers and allowed three runs, one earned, off of five hits while Tucker pitched two innings and allowed just one hit, one run and had four strikeouts.

Bemidji State plays its final games of The Spring Games tomorrow morning when they play Lock Haven University and Ferris State University at 9 a.m., and 11:15 a.m.
