The Bemidji State University volleyball program announced four camps and two adult tournaments set to take place between January and May 2017. The camps and tournaments will take place at BSU Gymnasium in the Physical Education Complex.
State University landed 22 student-athletes on the 2016 Fall Academic All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Team.
Bemidji State University volleyball head coach Kevin Ulmer announced the addition of five student-athletes to the volleyball program for the upcoming 2017 season. Anna Averkamp (OH, Germantown, Wis.), Rebecka Cronin (OH, Evansville, Wis.), Taylor Nier (OH, Hatley, Wis.), Rebekah Schroeder (OH, Fremont, Wis.) and Hope Splinter (L, Dubuque, Iowa) signed National Letters of Intent to attend Bemidji State.
Led by 12-kill performances from Riley Hanson and Mariya Sampson, the top-ranked Concordia University-St. Paul volleyball team hit .500 or better in all three sets to sweep the Beavers, 3-0, in the regular-season finale Saturday at the Gangelhoff center.

Bemidji State University volleyball senior Jessica Yost has been named to the All-NSIC Second Team, Thursday. The Bemidji, Minn., native earns All-NSIC honors for the first time in her career after leading the team with 383 kills.
The Bemidji State University volleyball wraps up the 2016 season on the road this weekend by traveling to Minnesota State University, Mankato and No. 1 Concordia University-St. Paul. The Beavers (7-20, 3-15 NSIC) begin the weekend with a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matchup against the Mavericks (14-12, 8-10 NSIC) Friday, Nov. 11 followed by the final match of the regular season against the Golden Bears (24-2, 16-2 NSIC) Saturday, Nov. 12.
The Bemidji State University volleyball team pushed Upper Iowa University to five sets but fell to the Peacocks, 3-2 (25-23, 21-25, 22-25, 25-17, 10-15), in the final home match of 2016, Saturday afternoon. The Beavers (7-20, 3-16 NSIC) were led by senior Jessica Yost who tallied her 16th double-double of the season with 24 kills and a career high 22 digs.
The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to No. 6 Winona State University, 3-0 (16-25, 20-25, 20-25) Friday night in part of senior night. The Beavers (7-19, 3-14 NSIC) were led by seniors Jessica Yost and Amanda Tronick in the match who each tallied 11 kills.
The Bemidji State University volleyball team closes out the home portion of its 2016 schedule this weekend by hosting No. 6 Winona State University and Upper Iowa University. The Beavers (7-18, 3-13 NSIC) will honor their three seniors Friday, Nov. 4 in part of senior night against WSU, followed by parent’s day Saturday, Nov. 5 against UIU.
