Craig and Peterson named Honor Student-Athletes by the NSIC

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference today announced Bemidji State University’s Rachel Craig and Tony Peterson to its list of 2015 Honor Student-Athlete and scholarship award winners.

Rachel Craig, Kayla DeJong, Summer McDonald, Laurel Denney and Kelsi Crawford took home honors at the Bemidji State University volleyball alumni gathering over the weekend. Three of the five honorees are set to return to the court for BSU in 2015.


Craig and Turner earn Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award

Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Commissioner Erin Lind has announced Bemidji State volleyball player Rachel Craig and cross country and track and field standout Emily Turner have been selected as recipients of the sixth annual NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.


BSU to host Winter Volleyball Clinics beginning in January

The Bemidji State University volleyball program will put on six winter volleyball clinics for athletes in grades 6-12 from Jan. 11, 2014 to March 22, 2014. Middle school athletes will receive training from 2-4 p.m., while the high school athletes will hit the court from 4-6 p.m. All clinics will be held at BSU Gymnasium.


Bemidji State volleyball adds four for 2015

The Bemidji State University volleyball program announced four student-athletes: Hailey Kauling (MB, Naperville, Ill.), Jessica Reega (MB/OH, Scottsdale, Ariz.), Kori Leist (MB, Hortonville, Wis.) and Morgan Koshiol (OH, Cold Spring, Minn.). All signed National Letters of Intent to join the BSU volleyball program in 2015.

Bemidji State snaps losing skid with sweep over MSU Moorhead

The Bemidji State University volleyball team snapped a seven-match losing skid with a 3-0 win over Minnesota State University Moorhead. The victory also snapped a 19-match winless streak against the Dragons dating back to 2003. Sophomore Amanda Tronick led the Beavers with 10 kills.

No. 2 University of Minnesota Duluth swept the Bemidji State University volleyball team Tuesday evening in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match by the scores of 25-20, 25-13 and 25-20. Crawford named a recipient of inaugural Butch Raymond Scholarship

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Wednesday announced Bemidji State University senior Kelsi Crawford as one of 16 recipients of the inaugural Butch Raymond Scholarship. The $5,000 scholarship is sponsored by Sanford Health and is given to one student-athlete from each of the NSIC’s 16 member institutions.


Bemidji State volleyball announces summer camp schedule

The Bemidji State University volleyball program and head coach Wayne Chadwick will conduct multiple summer camps beginning as early as June 1. There will be a Middle School All-Skills Camp July 7-8 and a High School All-Skills Camp July 10-12 both at BSU, also as well as on-site camps throughout June, July and August


Chadwick adds McDonald to 2014 recruiting class

Bemidji State University head volleyball coach Wayne Chadwick signed Summer McDonald (MB, Fr., Coleraine, Minn.) to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Beavers this fall. McDonald joins Angela Gareri (OH, Fr., Grand Rapids, Minn.) and Jordyn Koehn (S, Fr., Mukwonago, Wis.) as players that have signed to play for Bemidji State in 2014.

Green & White event raises more than $104,000 for BSU Athletics

More than 400 attendees and 100 Bemidji State University student-athletes gathered at the Sanford Center Saturday night for the inaugural Green & White Dinner and Auction to Benefit BSU Athletics. Net proceeds from tickets, bids on auction items, as well as other activities, totaled more than $104,000 and included individual donations totaling $21,800 to “Build a Scholarship.”


Bemidji State volleyball announces 2014 schedule

Bemidji State University volleyball Head Coach Wayne Chadwick announced the program’s 2014 schedule Monday. The slate features two tournaments consisting of eight nonconference matches. BSU will then play a 20-game Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schedule in NCAA Division II’s toughest conference.
