WAYNE, Neb. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to No. 22 Wayne State College (Neb.), 3-0 (15-25, 11-25, 12-25), on the road in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.

The Beavers fall to 3-12 on the season and 0-7 in conference play while the Wildcats improve to 10-6 and 4-3 in league play.

The Beavers were out-hit for the second consecutive match over the weekend tallying just 22 kills while Wayne State totaled 41. The Beavers top hitter was junior Sami Leach who ended the match with five kills while Jessica Reega and Julie Touchett added four.

Bemidji State did tally 10 blocks in the match led by Touchett with three and Maddie Filipiak and Leach each had two.

The Beavers will try to break their eight-match losing streak Tuesday, Oct. 3 when they host St. Cloud State University at the BSU Gymnasium at 6 p.m.
