Sophomore Season (2012): Named Academic All-NSIC...Started all games at setter for the Beavers in 2012… Team leader in assists (791) and service aces (35)… Second on the team in attack percentage with .235 (65-21-187) behind freshman Courtney Fox… Compiled 203 digs that placed third on the team and added 25 blocks that finished fourth… Added a career-high game in assists with 45 against U-Mary Sept. 15… Totaled six aces against Erskine Sept. 8 that set a personal and team season-high for aces in one game… Posted eight double-double matches where she had at least double digits in assists and digs/kills… Finished 10th in the conference with 8.99 apg and second in service aces per game with 0.40...Named to the Dean's List.

Freshman Season (2011): Played in 28 matches for BSU and earned 11 starts…Second on the team in assists behind Senior Jessie-Beth McCannell with 122 (1.51 a/s)…Tallied 145 digs (1.79 d/s), 12 service aces, and contributed 12 kills on the season…Logged 21 assists at MSU-Moorhead Nov. 4, her season high.

At Wadena-Deer Creek High School: Volkmann was selected the 2010 Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association Class AA Player of the Year...She finished her career at Wadena-Deer Creek High School with 4,232 assists, 1,241 digs, 541 kills and 495 service aces...Volkmann was a Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association Class AA All-State selection as a junior and senior...She also earned placement on the Class AA Minnesota State Girls Volleyball All-Tournament team during her final two seasons for the Wolverines...Volkmann was selected as one of the Top 25 seniors in the state of Minnesota by Breakdown Sports USA...In addition, she was named Brainerd Dispatch Player of the Year as a junior and senior and was selected to the Brained Dispatch All-Area team on five occasions.

Personal: She is the daughter of Tim and Sue Volkmann and was born Aug. 20, 1992 in Wadena, Minn...Played for her mother at Wadena-Deer Creek High School...Her mother played basketball and softball at University of North Dakota...Majoring in Exercise Science at BSU.
