Guard Bachmann commits to join Beaver Women’s Hoops for 2017-18 season

Bemidji State University women’s basketball Head Coach Chelsea DeVille announced that guard Brooke Bachmann of Minooka Community High School in Minooka, Ill., has committed to joining the program, beginning with the 2017-18 season.


Pelzer first Beaver named to All-NSIC First Team since 2007-08

BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Senior guard Aimee Pelzer completed her final season with Bemidji State University women’s basketball by earning the program’s first All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference First Team nod since the 2007-08 season. Pelzer was the only Beaver selected to the all-conference list after finishing third in the NSIC in assists and eighth in scoring.


Beavers season ended after 85-61 loss to Wildcats in NSIC Tournament opener

WAYNE, Neb. (Rice Auditorium) -- The 2016-17 Bemidji State University women's basketball season came to an end Wednesday night as Wayne State College handed it an 85-61 loss to begin the 2017 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Sanford Health Tournament at Rice Auditorium in Wayne, Neb. BSU (7-20, 4-18 NSIC) was not able to find an answer to WSC’s (22-6, 16-6 NSIC) offensive attack in the post.


Women’s Hoops travels to WSC to open NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University women’s basketball begins the 2017 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Sanford Health Tournament Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. against Wayne State College. Bemidji State exits home schedule with 90-84 win versus Minot State

BEMIDJI, Minn. (BSU Gymnasium) -- The Bemidji State University women's basketball team was able to send off its 2016-17 senior class with a victory after taking down Minot State University, 90-84, Saturday night at BSU Gymnasium. BSU (7-19, 4-18 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) set a program record with 27 consecutive free throws made during the game, finishing perfect from the line.


Senske creates post presence early despite 64-52 Beavers loss

BEMIDJI, Minn. (BSU Gymnasium) -- The Bemidji State University women's basketball team began Friday night's 64-52 loss to University of Mary strong in the post, but a second-half change led to a victory for the Marauders in BSU Gymnasium. BSU (6-19, 3-18 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) was led offensive by junior center Sierra Senske with 16 points, including nine straight to begin the game against U-Mary (14-15, 9-12 NSIC).


Eight individuals, team to be inducted into Bemidji State Athletic Hall of Fame

Bemidji State will induct Lora (Weiers) Angileno, John Backes, Bob Eckert and Malachy McCarthy into its Athletic Hall of Fame Saturday as part of the university’s Alumni B-Club/Athletic Hall of Fame Weekend. In addition, Charlie Scanlon will receive the Alumni Coaching Achievement Award, Donna Palivec will be inducted into the BSU Coaches Hall of Fame and Cindy Holter and Willie Stittsworth will be recognized with the 2017 John S. Glas Honorary Letter Award.


Bemidji State hosts U-Mary, Minot State in final weekend of games

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team makes its final appearances at BSU Gymnasium Feb. 17-18 with games against University of Mary and Minot State University. The Beavers (6-18, 3-17 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) open the weekend at 6 p.m. Friday against the Marauders before celebrating Senior Night at 4 p.m. Saturday against the Beavers.


Beavers fall in road finale, 76-55, to Wolves

ABERDEEN S.D. (Wachs Arena) -- The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team was in good position to make an upset Saturday in the 2016-17 road schedule finale but fell into a hole early in the third quarter of a 76-55 loss to Northern State University. BSU (6-18, 3-17 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) trailed just six at halftime but NSU (18-6, 14-6 NSIC) opened the second half on a 12-2 run to take control of the game.


Senske scores 1,000th career point but Beavers fall 88-56 in Moorhead

Bemidji State University women’s basketball junior Sierra Senske became the Beavers’ 20th member of BSU’s 1,000th career point club after leading the Beavers with 20 points on the road at No. 16 Minnesota State University, Moorhead. The Beavers fell to the Dragons, 88-56 in the game and fall to 6-17 (3-16 NSIC) on the season while the Dragons improve to 20-3 (17-2 NSIC).
