BSU’s Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament set for June 21

The 42nd Annual Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Friday, June 21 at Bemidji Town and Country Club and it’s not too late to participate. But you need to act fast. The registration deadline for participants and teams is July 11 for this event to benefit the Bemidji State Athletic Scholarship Fund.


NSIC announces expanded broadcast partnership with MidcoSN

The NSIC announced an expanded broadcast partnership with Midco Sports Network® for the 2019-20 academic year. MidcoSN will air 51 live NSIC events, which includes two Bemidji State football games as well as potential women’s or men’s basketball and volleyball postseason contests.


Women’s Basketball completes 2019-20 recruiting class with three signees

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team completed its 2019-20 recruiting class during the late signing period, announcing the addition of two guards and one forward. Guards Kendra Ekereke and Isabel, and forwad Tori Bott round out the class of six incoming freshmen to the Beaver program for the 2019-20 season.

The Howe-Welle Women’s Athletics Golf Tournament is set for August 23 at the Bemidji Town and Country Club. Formerly known as the Lady Beaver Tournament the golf outing returns as one of the events scheduled for the 50th Anniversary of BSU Women’s Athletics Celebration weekend Aug. 23–25, 2019.


Beavers NSIC Tournament run ends with 85-57 loss to Huskies

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team’s run in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament came to a close Saturday night during an 85-57 loss to St. Cloud State University at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. Early turnovers put the Beavers, who finish the season with a 6-22 record overall, in an early hole that was added to by efficient shooting by the Huskies.


Bemidji State heads to Sioux Falls, S.D., to continue NSIC Tournament

The 2018-19 season continues for the Bemidji State University women’s basketball program as it heads to the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., for the first time ever to face regional rival St. Cloud State University. The Beavers and Huskies will be the third tournament game on the docket Saturday, March 2 with tip-off scheduled at 5:30 p.m.


Women’s Basketball earns first NSIC Tournament win since 2003-04

It’s been 15 years since the Bemidji State University women’s basketball accomplished what it did Wednesday night: Earning a win in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament. A comeback effort on the road helped the Beavers take a 73-70 win over the Golden Bears of Concordia University-St. Paul to advance in the conference tournament for the first time since the 2003-04 season.


Beavers face Golden Bears in NSIC Tournament First Round Wednesday

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball program opens the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament Wednesday, Feb. 27 with a trip to face the No. 1 seed in the south division, Concordia University-St. Paul. The Beavers and Golden Bears tip-off at 6 p.m. from the Gangelhoff Center in the first post-season meeting between the programs since the 2004-05 season.


Bulldogs hand Beavers 68-47 loss in regular season finale

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball regular season ended Saturday afternoon with a 68-47 loss at University of Minnesota Duluth. The Beavers end the regular season with a 5-21 record overall and a 3-19 mark in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference to enter the conference tournament with the No. 8 seed in the north division.
