Minneapolis, Minn. - Announced by the league offices today, junior forward Amber Graf (Hammond, Wis.) was selected to the 2002-03 All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Honorable Mention Team. The 6-1 transfer from the U.S. Naval Academy finished the season ranked third in scoring (15.2) in the NSIC in league games only.

Graf reached double-digits in scoring in 25 of the 27 games this season including a career-best 26 against MSU Moorhead (2/7/03). In the two BSU wins over Lees-McRae (11/29/02) and Barry (11/30/03), Graf totaled 28 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to earn Comfort Inn “On the Beach” Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournamenthonors. Graf topped the 20+ point barrier five times this season and had a 12-game scoring streak of at least 10 points earlier this year. She led the team in several statistical categories including points (15.7), free throws made (104) and rebounding (4.7). Also, she was second in total blocks (16), third in free throw percentage (.782-104/133), fourth in three-pointers (18) and total assists (29). The Beavers were 7-5 when Graf pulled down 5 or more rebounds this campaign. She ended the year 104 of 133 from the charity stripe which broke the 102 made free throws (Jenny Loeck) and 132 attempts (Karen Morrisey) during the 1994-95 campaign and set the school record.

With the loss to Winona State in the season-finale, BSU failed to make the conference tournament for the first time in the four-year history. UM-Duluth won its 11th regular season conference title after a one-point win over second-place Concordia-St. Paul last weekend.
