The Beavers will look to rebound after a tough start to the conference season with losses to MSU Moorhead and UM, Crookston last weekend. Bemidji State enters Tuesday with a 2-3 mark on the year. The Beavers are 2-1 in nonconference play entering the College of St. Scholastica game. Tuesday’s game with the Saints will mark the final nonconference game of the season for BSU.

Bemidji State continues to be led in scoring by freshmen Melissa Borstner (G, East Bethel, Minn.) and Ellie Wessling (G/F, Winsted, Minn.). Borstner comes into Tuesday averaging 11.2 points, while Wessling is averaing 11.0 points and 6.4 rebounds. Junior Samantha Baldwin (G, St. Thomas, N.D.) might be the most consistent player for the Beavers through five games. Baldwin is averaging 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game and is also tied for the team lead with eight steals.

College of St. Scholastica Preview

St. Scholastica enters Tuesday’s game with a 1-4 mark on the season. The College of St. Scholastica lost to Wisconsin-Stout and Wisconsin-Oshkosh in their last two games on Nov. 27 and Nov. 28 at the Quallity Inn & Suites Turkey Shootout.

The Saints are led offensively by sophomore forward Bri Allen averaging 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds. 5-9 wing player Savanna Treichel comes in averaging 7.0 points and 4.8 rebounds. Treichel is shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc. CSS's one win of the season came on Nov. 23 over North Central, 73-64.

Bemidji State is 23-2 all-time against the College of St. Scholastica. The two two schools last met on Nov. 24, 2007 with Bemidji State winning 86-52.
