Bemidji State University women's basketball Head Coach Mike Curfman has announced the team’s 2013-14 award winners. Senior Morgan Lee (G, Hayward, Wis.), the Offense Most Valuable Player, and Kate Warmack (C, East Grand Forks, Minn.), honored as Defense Most Valuable Player, highlight the awards list.


Curfman inks Durand during NCAA Signing Period

Bemidji State University head women’s basketball coach Mike Curfman added Sarah Durand (F/C, 6-0, Warren, Minn.) to his NCAA regular signing period class Wednesday. Durand joins Afton Kuehndorf (G, 5-10, Barron, Wis.) and Mikayla Larson (G, 5-10, Des Moines, Iowa), as student-athletes to sign National Letters of Intent to play for the Beavers beginning the 2014-15 season.


Bemidji State lands 14 on Winter Academic All-NSIC Team

Thirty years later: Second-generation teammates

Women’s intercollegiate athletics got a boost in the early 1970s and only recently have those student-athletes started to send their daughters off to college, making it an uncommon occurrence of second-generation student-athletes playing the same sport at the same school as their mothers. More uncommon is having teammates with mothers who were teammates.

Curfman inks two during NCAA Signing Period

Bemidji State University head women’s basketball coach Mike Curfman announced his NCAA regular signing period class Wednesday, as he added two student-athletes, Sierra Senske (C, 6-2, Glyndon, Minn.) and Tatum Sheley (G, 5-9, Backus, Minn.), to National Letters of Intent to play for the Beavers beginning the 2013-14 season.


Girl's basketball camp set for July 21-24

The Bemidji State women’s basketball program will host a summer middle and high school girl's basketball camp July 21-24 for grades 7-12.
