Beavers go to Wayne State for first round of NSIC Sanford Health Tournament, Feb. 25

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University women's basketball travels to Wayne State College Wednesday night at 7 p.m. to start the first round of NSIC/Sanford Health Women's Basketball Tournament at Rice Auditorium.

Bemidji State women’s basketball finished the 2014-15 season Saturday with a 6-21 overall record and a 3-19 mark in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) to give them the No. 8 seed in the NSIC North Division. The No. 1 seed Wildcats in the South Division, clinched their second straight NSIC regular season title by going 18-4 in league play this season and 24-4 overall.

The two teams met once this season with Wayne State topping BSU 99-52 on December 13th in Wayne. 

Ticket costs for the first round of the NSIC Tournament are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors 65+, $2 for students and children five and under are free.

Nestled in Northern Minnesota’s wooded region and located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, Bemidji State University sponsors 15 varsity athletic programs with NCAA Division I men’s and women’s hockey membership in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while its 13 NCAA Division II programs hold membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
