Sophomore guard Erica Gartner tied a career-high 18 points Saturday afternoon as Bemidji State University fell to Minot State University, 71-51, in Minot, N.D. The Beavers of BSU (4-22 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) were taken down after being outscored in the second an fourth quarter Saturday night by the Beavers of MiSU (14-12, 11-11 NSIC).


Women's Hoops falls in weekend opener at University of Mary

Freshman guard Brooklyn Bachmann led the Bemidji State University women’s basketball team in scoring for the 13th time this season Friday night during a 76-51 loss at University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. Bachmann also led the team in rebounds while missing out on a double-double by one board for the Beavers (4-21, 3-18 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference).


Beavers to face Marauders, Beavers in final regular season games

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball program travels Feb. 16-17 to face University of Mary and Minot State University for the final regular season games of the 2017-18 season. The Bemidji State University women’s basketball program finished its 2017-18 home schedule Saturday afternoon with an 89-48 loss to Northern State University at BSU Gymnasium. Junior forward Emma Rappe led the Beavers (4-20, 3-17 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) in scoring with 12 points while the Wolves (22-4, 17-3 NSIC) used points in the paint to take control of the game.


Senske moves into 10th all-time in Women's Hoops scoring versus MSU Moorhead

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team took control of the final 10 minutes of each half to pull away and begin a winning streak Saturday afternoon during a 60-52 win against Upper Iowa University. Senior guard Mikayla Larson and freshman guard Brooklyn Bachmann combined for 42 of the Beavers’ (4-6, 3-3 Northern Sun Intercollegiate) 60 points while limiting the Peacocks (2-11, 0-7 NSIC) to just two field goals in the fourth quarter.

Bemidji State University women’s basketball welcomes in Upper Iowa University and Winona State University for the final games of the 2017 calendar year, Dec. 30-31 at BSU Gymnasium. Freshman guard Sydney Zerr provided a threat from long range off the bench Saturday afternoon with four 3-pointers and 12 total points to help lead the Bemidji State University women’s basketball team to a 76-64 win against University of Minnesota Crookston. The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team overcame early adversity to lead heading into the fourth quarter Friday night against University of Minnesota Duluth, but a fourth-quarter surge by UMD led to a 52-44 loss by BSU. Senior center Sierra State set Bemidji State University women’s basketball’s all-time free throw record Friday night in the program’s 71-51 loss to Metro State University during the opening night of the Metro State Thanksgiving Classic. The Beavers (1-2) opened the night on a 9-0 run before being outrebounded 55-25 and shooting 31.5 percent from the floor.

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team takes its turkey to go with a trip to the Metro State Thanksgiving Classic to face Metro State University Nov. 24 and Colorado Christian University Nov. 25. Strong fourth quarter efforts from sophomore center Sydney Arrington and freshman guard Maria Appicelli helped Bemidji State University women’s basketball overcome a 13-point deficit to win their first game of the season against Mayville State University, 63-62, at BSU Gymnasium. Arrington scored nine points in the fourth quarter while Appicelli scored her first eight points as a Beaver (1-1) in the fourth quarter to aid in a run to overtake the Comets (4-2).

Weber added as seventh piece of Beaver Women’s Basketball recruit class

Bemidji State University women’s basketball Head Coach Chelsea DeVille announced another addition to the 2017-18 recruit class after guard Jenni Weber submitted her National Letter of Intent. Weber, from Elburn, Ill., is the seventh freshman to commit to playing with Beaver Women’s Basketball starting with the 2018-19 season.


Valley City upsets Bemidji State in season opener, 80-76

Gartner, Senske tabbed Beaver Women’s Basketball team captains for 2017-18

Bemidji State University women’s basketball announced its leaders Thursday as senior center Sierra Senske and sophomore guard Erica Gartner were named the team’s captains. Tracy Dill, director of athletics at Bemidji State University, today announced a new broadcasting partnership with the university’s Department of Integrated Media that will deliver more than 100 Beaver Athletics events to a worldwide audience beginning this fall.


Women’s Hoops summer camps now open for registration

The 2017 Bemidji State University women’s basketball summer camps are now open for registration with camp dates set for July 17-18. Camps are available for grades 3-6 and 7-12 that will be led by the Beavers coaching staff and players.
