Myer gets second straight double-double in 72-66 loss to William Jewell

Sophomore guard Trinity Myer recorded her second straight double-double to open the season as the Bemidji State University women's basketball team fell to William Jewell, 72-66, Saturday afternoon at the USF Classic. The Beavers gave away 22 turnovers to move to 1-1 overall despite outshooting the Cardinals, 41.8 to 37.1 percent, from the field.


Lock-down defense gives Beavers come-from-behind 58-42 win over Eagles

After trailing by as many as seven points, the Bemidji State University women’s basketball kicked its defense into lock-down mode in the second half to take a 58-42 comeback win over Chadron State University to open the 2019-20 season. The Beavers limited the Eagles to just 13 points in the second half while BSU sophomore guard Trinity Myer set career-high marks with her first-ever double-double.


Women’s Basketball completes 2019-20 recruiting class with three signees

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team completed its 2020-21 recruiting class during National Signing Day, announcing the addition of three guards and one forward. The Beavers incoming class includes guards Sam Pogatchnik, Amme Sheforgen and Lily Weimann, and forward Jana Swanson.

Bemidji State University women’s basketball officially begins the 2019-20 regular season with games Nov. 15-16 against Chadron State College and William Jewell College at the USF Classic in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Beavers open the tournament Friday at 12 p.m. against the Eagles before a 3 p.m. tip-off Saturday against the Cardinals.


Hot shooting leads Beavers to 80-51 exhibition win over Yellowjackets

A trio of hot scorers from the field led the Bemidji State University women’s basketball team to an 80-51 win over University of Wisconsin-Superior in its lone exhibition of the season Friday night at BSU Gymnasium. Junior Brooklyn Bachmann, sophomore Coley Rezabek and freshman Rachael Heittola combined to shoot 17-of-21 from the field for 39 points as the Beavers pulled away from the Yellowjackets in the second half.


Women’s Basketball to host UW-Superior Friday for exhibition

The Bemidji State University women’s basketball program gets its first look at the 2019-20 squad with an exhibition at 7 p.m. Friday at the BSU Gymnasium against University of Wisconsin-Superior. The Beavers return five starters from a season ago where the program earned its first postseason win in 15 years.


Women’s Basketball voted to finish 13th in NSIC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

The first trip to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference postseason quarterfinals at The Pentagon has helped the Bemidji State University women’s basketball program earn its highest slotting in the NSIC Preseason Coaches’ Poll since the 2012-13 season. The Beavers were picked to finish 13th overall and seventh in the NSIC North as the preseason poll was released Thursday.


Bemidji State women’s basketball unveils 2019-20 schedule

The 2019-20 Bemidji State University women’s basketball schedule was released today by head coach Chelsea DeVille. The Beavers open the season Nov. 1, 2019 with an exhibition followed by the official season opener Nov. 15 at the University of Sioux Falls Classic in Sioux Falls, S.D.

NSIC announces expanded broadcast partnership with MidcoSN

The NSIC announced an expanded broadcast partnership with Midco Sports Network® for the 2019-20 academic year. MidcoSN will air 51 live NSIC events, which includes two Bemidji State football games as well as potential women’s or men’s basketball and volleyball postseason contests.
