This Week: The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team hosts Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference-foe Winona State University in its final home game of the 2009-10 season Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. in the BSU Gymnasium. The Beavers will be hosting a WBCA Pink Zone event and it will serve as Senior Day for Kim Rosecrans.
About Winona State: The Warriors are 14-10 overall and 9-8 in NSIC play to sit in a tie for seventh with Southwest Minnesota State University. WSU has lost its last two games and are 2-3 in the last five. Last weekend, the Warriors lost to Wayne State College 76-61 and Augustana College 93-71 in two road contests. WSU is 4-5 on the road this season and 6-7 away from home. Senior Ana Wurtz leads the team in points with 14.1 per game. Sophomore Michelle McDonald is averaging 11.8 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds per game.
