Previous to coming to Bemidji State he taught mathematics for more than seven years and was the assistant varsity football coach at Bemidji High School, Forest Lake High School and Mora High. During his five years at Mora not only did he teach and was an assistant varsity football coach, but also he was the head track coach and the strength coordinator. He was also a personal fitness trainer at Fitness Together in Woodbury, Minn. for two years. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) as well as a NSCA certified personal trainer, USA weightlifting sports performance coach and a USA Track and Field level 1 coach. Ferraro is a 2001 graduate of BSU. He started on the Beavers football team for two years before being forced to quit due to concussions. In 1997, he was special teams player of the year, a five-time conference champion in track and a former school shot put record holder. ![]() |
