The freshmen duo of Ryne Prigge and Allyna Storms paced the Bemidji State University cross country team Saturday afternoon as it competed in the Ron Pynn Classic 5,000-meter run. Prigge and Storms finished as the top two runners for BSU for the second consecutive meet.
The Bemidji State University cross country program travels West on Highway 2 to take part in the Ron Pynn Classic Saturday, Oct. 13 on the campus of University of North Dakota. The Beaver runners will begin the 6,000-meter race at 12:30 p.m.
Bemidji State University cross country freshman Ryne Prigge led the program for the second straight meet at the highly-regarded Roy Griak Invitational Saturday in St. Paul, Minn. The true freshman led the Beavers with a time of 24:44.1 in the 6,000-meter race and finished 79th overall between 22 NCAA Division II programs.
The Bemidji State University cross country program will take on 27 opposing programs from across NCAA Division II and III Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minn. The 6K run is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. from the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course.
Bemidji State University Athletics along with the BSU Foundation and Alumni Association have announced a year-long celebration of the 50th year of women’s intercollegiate athletics at BSU. Festivities will begin with a kick-off social celebrating Beaver Athletics history and honoring their founders Oct. 6 at BSU’s American Indian Resource Center.
Bemidji State University cross country freshman Ryne Prigge paced the squad Friday night during the program’s season-opening event at the Dragon Twilight in Moorhead, Minn. Prigge led the way with a 23rd-place finish and a sub-20 minute time of 19:52.3.
The Bemidji State University cross country program will take part in its first event of the season Saturday, Sept. 8 at the fourth annual Dragon Twilight, hosted by Minnesota State University Moorhead. The 5,000-meter event held at the Tri-City Soccer Complex is scheduled to begin at 8:10 p.m.
The Bemidji State University Track and Field team will host its annual JackPine Classic Saturday, Sept. 1 starting from the BSU Gillett Recreation Center. The 5K, 10K and 25K runs begin at 9 a.m. and are open to the public.
Bemidji State University cross country freshman Ryne Prigge has yet to run for the program but was selected as BSU’s Athlete to Watch in the 2018 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, which was released Wednesday. The Beavers squad was picked to finish 13th in the annual NSIC coaches’ poll.
Bemidji State University landed 29 student-athletes on the 2017 Fall Academic All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Team.
