Bemidji State hosts Stride into Spring 5K/10K April 27

The Bemidji State University cross country and track and field teams will team up with the BSU Sustainability Office to host the 2019 Stride into Spring 5K/10K April 27. The annual run/walk begins at 9 a.m. from the parking lot of the Gillett Recreation Center.


Howe-Welle Women's Athletics Golf Tournament set for Aug. 23

The Howe-Welle Women’s Athletics Golf Tournament is set for August 23 at the Bemidji Town and Country Club. Formerly known as the Lady Beaver Tournament the golf outing returns as one of the events scheduled for the 50th Anniversary of BSU Women’s Athletics Celebration weekend Aug. 23–25, 2019.


Renovated training center gives BemidjiState year-round practice facility

A crowd of nearly 200 student-athletes, staff and friends gathered Feb. 15 in Bemidji State University’s John S. Glas Fieldhouse to formally dedicate the newly refurbished Frederick P. Baker Training Center.


Cross Country, Track and Field add distance runner to 2018 signing class

The Bemidji State University cross country and track and field head coach Kevin Kean has announced the addition of distance runner Jasmine Rascon to the program’s 21018-19 signing class. Rascon will run for both programs after signing a National Letter of Intent to join BSU next fall.


Two more added to 2018-19 Beaver Track and Field signing class

Bemidji State University track and field head coach Kevin Kean announced the addition of two more student-athletes to the 2018-19 signing class in Janice Cole and Emma Realing. The two additions in spritns and distance bring the Beavers’ class to eight, all of which will join the program in the fall of 2019.


Bemidji State lands 31 on Fall Academic All-NSIC Team

Bemidji State University landed 31 student-athletes on the 2018 Fall Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team, with 16 earning the NSIC's new All-Academic Team of Excellence distinction.


Cross country concludes season at NCAA Central Regional

The Bemidji State University cross country team concluded its 2018 season Saturday at the 2018 NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship in Joplin, Mo. Freshman Ryne Prigge led the Beavers for the sixth consecutive meet in the 6,000-meter run held at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course.


Kean announces five additions to Beaver Track and Field

Bemidji State University track and field head coach Kevin Kean announced the addition of five student-athletes that will join the program beginning with the 2019-20 season. Four of the five newcomers hail from in-state as part of the Beavers' early signing-period class.


Beavers travel six for NCAA Central Regional Championship Saturday

The Bemidji State University cross country program is set to run at the 2018 NCAA Central Regional Championship Saturday, Nov. 17 in Joplin, Mo. The Beavers and the women’s participants will begin the 6,000-meter run at 11:15 a.m. from Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course on the campus of Missouri Southern State University.


Beaver Cross Country led by Prigge at NSIC Championships Saturday

Freshman Ryne Prigge paced the Bemidji State University cross country team Saturday at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships with a career record time and a 39th-place finish. Prigge topped her previous 6,000-meter time with a mark of 23:23.2 to lead the Beavers.
