Sophomore Ryne Prigge headlined Bemidji State University cross country’s selection as an all-academic team, as released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Commissioner Erin Lind has announced that six Bemidji State University student-athletes have been selected as recipients of the 11th annual NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.
Bemidji State University landed 31 student-athletes on the 2019 Fall Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team, with 16 earning the NSIC's new All-Academic Team of Excellence distinction.
The Bemidji State University cross country and track and field programs will host the annual Turkey Trot Thursday, Nov. 28 on the campus of BSU. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. while the race will begin from the parking lot of the Gillett Wellness Center.
Six of Bemidji State University cross country’s seven runners set personal record times Saturday as the team completed the 2019 NCAA Central Regional Championship in Joplin, Mo. Sophomore Ryne Prigge paced the squad with a 47th-place finish while the Beavers took 25th overall as a team.
The 2019 NCAA Central Regional Championship will be the site of the Bemidji State University cross country program’s next race Saturday, Nov. 9 in Joplin, Mo. The squad of seven runners will begin the 6,000-meter race at 10 a.m. on the campus of Missouri Southern State University.
A pair of freshmen set personal record times Saturday as the Bemidji State University cross country program completed the 2019 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship 6,000-meter race in Wayne, Neb. Mckenzie Evans and Lily Johnson both finished within BSU’s top four following sophomore Ryne Prigge with a 38th-place finish and senior Kristen Petron with a 76th-place finish.
The Bemidji State University cross country program is set to run at the 2019 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship Saturday, Oct. 26 in Wayne, Neb. The women will run the 6,000-meter race at 11 a.m. at the Wayne Country Club.
The Bemidji State University cross country team was all smiles in the land of Walt Disney as it finished third overall at the 2019 Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Fla. Four Beavers set personal record times in the 5,000-meter race, including sophomore Ryne Prigge with an eighth place time of 18:59.1, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Saturday morning.
The ESPN World Wide of Sports will serve as the host site for the Bemidji State University cross country program as the team will run in its final regular-season meet of the season. The Beavers will run a 5,000-meter race at 7:25 a.m. at the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Fla., Saturday, Oct. 12.
