Crummy paces Bemidji State at NSIC Championships

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. -- Nicole Crummy clocked a 24:44.5 to lead the Bemidji State University cross country team at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.

Crummy's time was just off her career best for a 6,000-meter course and placed her 1:13.6 off the pace of individual champion Annie Krause of Augustana (23:20.9).

With 54 team points and three of the top 10 individual finishers, University of Minnesota Duluth won the team title.

Bemidji State finished with 332, eight points behind 10th place Minot State University and ahead of Upper Iowa University (381), Concordia University-St. Paul (397) and Wayne State College (416).

The Beavers now shift their focus to the NCAA Division II Regional in Joplin, Mo. The starting gun is set for 10 a.m. Nov. 7.
