BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The 2019 NCAA Central Regional Championship will be the site of the Bemidji State University cross country program’s next race Saturday, Nov. 9 in Joplin, Mo. The squad of seven runners will begin the 6,000-meter race at 10 a.m. on the campus of Missouri Southern State University.
The Beavers finished 13th as a team at the 2019 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship Saturday, Oct. 26 in Wayne, Neb. Sophomore Ryne Prigge led the team for the fourth time this season with a 38th-place time of 23:57.02 in the 6K race. Senior Kristen Petron followed in 76th with a time of 25:05.48 while freshman Mckenzie Evans set a personal record with a time of 25:32.00. Evans’ third-place finish among the Beavers was her highest of the season while taking 88th overall in the race. Freshman Lily Johnson also set a personal record with a 93rd-place time of 25:45.90.
The 2019 cross country season will conclude with the 2019 NCAA Championship Saturday, Nov. 23 hosted by Sacramento State University in Sacramento, Calif.
