JAMESTOWN, N.D. -- The Bemidji State University women’s cross country team finished sixth at the Jimmie Invitational, Friday, Oct. 2, hosted by Jamestown College at the Hillcrest Golf Course. The Beavers finished with 143 points and a time of 1:48:44 (21:44.80 average). BSU was led by sophomore Alison Hougen (Bemidji, Minn.), who finished 29th with a time of 21:23 and junior Kristi Buerkle (Stacy, Minn.) was 30th with a time of 21:28. The host institution won the six team event with 36 points and a total time of 1:39:20, with an average time of 19:52. The top two performers represented JC, as Katie Conlon (19:01) and Alyssa Bossler (19:12) finished first and second, respectively. Concordia College was second with 39 points (1:40:36, 20:07.20 average), Dickinson State University was third with 80 points (1:43:16, 20:39.20 average), Minot State University posted a fourth-place finish with 86 points (1:44:03, 20:48.60 average) and Minnesota State University Moorhead was fifth with 130 points (1:49:25, 21:53 average).
