Mackedanz earns spot on Spring Academic All-NSIC Team

Bemidji State University had 27 student-athletes selected to the 2011 Spring Academic All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Team, announced by the league office May 18.


BSU's women’s golf season comes to an end at NSIC Championship

The 2010-11 season came to an end for the Bemidji State University women’s golf team Saturday as the Beavers wrapped up the final round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships in Brandon, S.D. BSU turned in a final-round score of 351 (+67) and finished eighth with a 72-hole team total of 356-373-351-351--1431 (+287).


Bemidji State women move to eighth in NSIC Championship

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team carded a 351 (+67) Friday at Brandon Golf Course in Brandon, S.D. to move into eighth place in the 2010-11 NSIC Championships. Sophomore Kathryn Stoffels (Maple Grove, Minn.) turned in a 12-over-par 83 Friday to lead the Beavers and sit 30th individually.


Bemidji State women rebound; Finish eighth at Maverick Invitational

One day removed from nearly unplayable conditions, weather improved and so did the scores at the 2011 Maverick Invitational in Lake City, Minn. Each member of the five-person Bemidji State University women’s golf team individually trimmed a minimum four strokes from her day one performance Sunday, but the Beavers were unable to make up any ground as a team and finished the event in eighth place.

With temperatures hovering around 40 degrees and the wind whipping across the par-72, 5,860-yard Jewel Golf Course in excess of 20 miles per hour, BSU turned in a team total of 379 (+91) to finish the first round of the 2011 Maverick Invitational in eighth place. Sophomore Kathryn Stoffels (Maple Grove, Minn.) led the Beavers with a 92 (+20).


Bemidji State women finish Augie Spring Invite in 11th

Rachel Wold (Fr., Crookston, Minn.) and Kathryn Stoffels (So., Maple Grove, Minn.) turned in matching scores of 176 (+32) Sunday to tie four others for 46th place as the Bemidji State women’s golf team wrapped up competition at the Augustana Spring Invitational. The Beavers recorded their best round of the spring campaign, in the final round of the 36-hole event to move up to 11th place.

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team is 14th after the opening round of the Augustana Spring Invitational at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Beavers shot 363 (+75) and were led by newcomer Rachel Wold (Fr., Crookston, Minn.), who carded an 18-over-par 90 Saturday to tie for 54th individually.

The Bemidji State University women finished 10th at the weather-shortened 2010 SMSU Mustang Invitational. The Beavers were led by Lindsay Morgan who finished tied for 54th individually.

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team completed its first event of the 2010 fall season Monday taking 10th in Concordia University’s Wildwood Lodge Invitational at the 5,975-yard, par-72 Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minn. Kathryn Stoffels (So., Maple Grove, Minn.) finished tied for 47th to lead the Beavers.
