Bemidji State lands 23 on 2012 Spring Academic All-NSIC Team

Bemidji State University landed 23 student-athletes on the 2012 Spring Academic All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Team, announced by the league office today.


Bemidji State women earn three-stroke win at MSU Moorhead Triangular

Led by a stellar individual performance by junior Kathryn Stoffels (Maple Grove, Minn.), the Bemidji State University women’s golf team wrapped up its 2012 spring slate carding a team score of 364 (+72) to claim the Minnesota State University Moorhead Triangular Friday at the par-73, 5,501-yard Maple River Golf Club.


Bemidji State women place 10th at weather-shortened NSIC Championship

Led by a 31st-place finish by Rachel Kristofferson, the Bemidji State women’s golf team wrapped up play at the 2012 NSIC Championships Sunday carding a team score of 343 (+59) at the par-71, 5,906-yard Dacotah Ridge Golf Course to finish in 10th place with a three-round total of 1,109 (+249).


Sloan, Wold and Menton garner Beaver Pride Athlete of the Week honors

Bemidji State University golfers Maria Sloan (So., Coleraine, Minn.), Rachel Wold (So., Crookston, Minn.) and Danny Menton (Sr., Hutchinson, Minn.) have been named Beaver Pride Athletes of the Week after recording outstanding athletic performances during the week of March 26-April 2.

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team opened its 2012 spring campaign with a second place finish in the Wayne State Spring Invitational in Wayne, Neb.


Kristofferson leads Bemidji State in first half of NSIC Championship

Bemidji State University women’s golf team wrapped up the second round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Sunday, sitting 10th in the 13-team field. BSU newcomer Rachel Kristofferson (Fr., Park Rapids, Minn.) leads the Beavers in 34th place individually after 36 holes.


Bemidji State women’s golf team to compete in NSIC Championship

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team is traveling to The Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minn. this weekend (Oct. 8-9) to take part in the first half of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championship. The unique conference championship is made up of 72 holes with 36 during the fall season and the final 36 in the spring.

Bemidji State University sophomore Maria Sloan (Coleraine, Minn.) carded an 89 (+17) Friday at Bemidji Town and Country Club to capture medalist honors and lead the Beavers to a team victory in the 2011 Bemidji State Invitational.


Youth leads Bemidji State women's golf team home

With the leaves and weather changing and hunting season in its prime, the average Bemidji citizen isn’t quite gearing up for a round of 18-holes on the links. For the Bemidji State University women’s golf team however, it is the midst of the fall portion of its golf season. The Beavers will get home course advantage for the first time in over ten years when they host the BSU Invitational on Friday at the Bemidji Town and Country Club.


Bemidji State women finish 13th at SMSU Mustang Invitational

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team scored a 361 (+73) on the final day of the Southwest Minnesota State University Mustang Invitational Sunday to finish the event in 13th place with a total score of 372-361--733 (+157). The Invitational took place at the par-72, 5,936-yard Marshall Golf Club in Marshall, Minn.


BSU women 13th midway through SMSU Mustang Invitational

Led by an 85 (+13) from junior Kathryn Stoffels (Maple Grove, Minn.) the Bemidji State University women’s golf team scored a 372 (+84) on the first day of the Mustang Invitational Saturday and sit 13th. Final round action begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.


Mustang Invitational next for BSU women

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team continues its fall season this weekend (Sept. 24-25) with a trip to Marshall, Minn. to participate in the 14th Annual Mustang Invitational. The 36-hole event will take place at the 5,936-yard, par 72 Marshall Golf Club and is slated to begin at noon Saturday with final round action set for a 9 a.m. shotgun start Sunday.


Bemidji State women place third at St. Cloud State Invite

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team opened the 2011 fall campaign with a third-place finish at the St. Cloud State Invitational Sept. 10-11 in St. Cloud, Minn. The Beavers completed the 36-hole event with a score of 381-376--757 (+177) to sit 95 stokes off the pace set by team champion Winona State University (341-321--662 (+82)).


BSU women’s golf team ushers in 2011 season at St. Cloud State Invite

The Bemidji State University women’s golf team will lift the lid on the 2011 fall season this weekend as it competes in the St. Cloud State Invitational. Set for Saturday and Sunday, the 36-hole event hosted by St. Cloud State University, will be played at two locations. Saturday’s opening round will begin at 1 p.m. at Wapicada Golf Course, while the final round is set for 9 a.m. at Territories Golf Club.


Bagaason named head women’s golf and assistant women’s basketball coach

Bemidji State University Director of Athletics Dr. Rick Goeb, today announced the hiring of Mark Bagaason as the Beavers’ new head women’s golf and assistant women’s basketball coach.
