BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State women’s golf head coach Mark Bagaason announced today the signing of Kelly Blair (International Falls, Minn.) and Monica Wold (Beltrami, Minn.) to Bemidji State Offers of Admission during the regular signing period that began April 11.
All signees are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

International Falls High School: Six-year golf letterwinner at International Falls High School... Currently eighth in the Section 7AA girls golf tournament after shooting a 97 on day one May 22... Carded an 82 for top honors at the Falls Golf Invite May 11 to guide the team to victory in the five-team event... Won the Hibbing Invite with an 88 to lead the Broncos to victory... Completed in nine events as a junior with an 89.0 scoring average and an 18-hole low round of 79 at the Virginia Invitational... Finished tied for 34th at state in 2011 with a two-day total of 177 (+33)... One letter in basketball... Academically has been a constant on the dean’s list, principal’s list, “A” Honor Roll, earned Academic Excellence Letter and is a National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa member... 2012 Elks 1599 Scholarship winner.
Personal: Daughter of Stephen and Carlene Blair... Born Jan. 24, 1994... Will major in elementary education at BSU.
“We are fortunate to add Kelly Blair to our roster,” Bagaason said. “She has improved her golf game each year in high school and we know she will work hard to do the same at BSU. Another factor in her signing was Bemidji State’s strong Elementary Education Department.”

Crookston High School: Five-year letterwinner in golf for Crookston High School... A five-time all-conference team member and three-time Minnesota State Girl’s Golf Tournament participant with another opportunity her senior year... Named Crookston High School Female Athlete of the Year as a senior... Closed the 2012 conference season with a 39.75 nine hole average... Carded an 84 to win the East Grand Forks Invitational in 2012... Finished 18th at state as a junior with a two-day total of 168 (+24)... During her high school golf career has been named rookie of the year and team MVP (twice) by her teammates... In total has 11 letters with five in golf, three in volleyball and three in basketball... Is a three-time all-conference performer in volleyball... In the classroom is a four-time academic letter winner.
Personal: Daughter of Tim and Debbie Wold... Born Feb 17, 1994... Undecided on an academic major at BSU... Sister Rachel Wold (Crookston, Minn.) completed her sophomore season at Bemidji State in 2011-12.
“We are excited and fortunate to be able to add Monica Wold to our roster,” Bagaason said. “Monica is having an outstanding senior season and we are hoping she will continue to improve over the next four years and take the women’s golf program to new heights. It will be a unique situation to have her and her sister, Rachel, on a collegiate team together.”
The Beavers competed in six events in 2011-12 and finished the season with a 369.7 team scoring average. The season was highlighted by a year-ending victory in the Minnesota State University Moorhead/Bemidji State/University of Minnesota, Crookston Triangular April 27 and a second place finish at the Wayne State Spring Invite April 1-2. Junior Kathryn Stoffels (Maple Grove, Minn.) guided the Beavers with a 91.0 scoring average and three top 20 finishes, including garnering medalist honors at the MSUM/BSU/UMC Triangular. BSU returns all 10 players to its roster for 2012-13.
