BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team will compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Fall Championship this weekend at The Classic at Madden’s on Gull Lake in Brainerd, Minn. The 36-hole event will serve as the fall portion of the conference championship. The final two rounds of the comprehensive, 72-hole event will take place in the spring of 2016 at Dacotah Ridge in Morton, Minn.
Bemidji State successfully defended its BSU Invitational title last weekend at the Bemidji Town and Country Club. The Beavers finished with a team score of 363 (+75). The BSU women’s golf team is currently ranked second in the NSIC, overall.
Bemidji State finished the 2014-15 NSIC Championship in ninth place with a total score of 1447 (+295). Mary Elmquist led the Beavers, placing 24th. After the Fall portion of the NSIC Championship, Elmquist carded scores of 97 and 82 (+35). Monica Wold followed close behind placing 28th overall and with scores of 96 and 88 (+40) after the fall Championship. Elmquist and Katy Woelfel are the only returning golfers form the 2014-15 the roster with NSIC Championship.
