BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team concludes its spring season this weekend when it travels to Morton, Minn. and Dacotah Ridge Golf Club for the spring portion of the 2015-16 NSIC Championship. The final 36 holes of the split-season, 72-hole championship will begin with 18 holes Saturday and conclude with a championship 18 Sunday.
Dacotah Ridge Golf Club is a par-72, 5,055-yard course.
After 36 holes of championship play at the par-72, 5,915-yard Classic at Madden’s, Oct. 10-11, BSU is eighth, 93 shots out of the lead with 716 (+140).
Mary Elmquist, who opens play Saturday tied for 18th place individually, led BSU. The junior carded rounds of 82 and 84 to sit 168 (82-86/+24), 16 shots out of medalist contention.
Augustana University holds the team lead at the halfway point of the championship at 47-over-par (313-310--623). The Vikings own a 32-shot advantage over Concordia University-St. Paul and the rest of the 12-team field.
AU's Sierra Langlie is atop the individual leaderboard after firing rounds of 74 and 78 to sit at eight-over-par (152).
