BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team begins its spring season by travelling to Litchfield Park, Ariz. to compete at the Southwest Minnesota State University Spring Invitational, March 12 and 13.
BSU begins the spring season after competing in three tournaments during the fall 2017 season. In the Tracy Lane Memorial, the Beavers placed eighth of nine teams over the course of two rounds. At the Golden Bear Fall Classic, they placed 11th of 13 teams in both rounds of play. The final tournament of the fall season, the MIAA Fall Preview, had the Beavers placing 13 out of 16 teams.
Bemidji State was led during the fall by freshman Lauren Stockmoe with a 86.7 strokes per round average. Following close behind was sophomore Erica Gartner with an 87.8 average and senior Katy Woelfel at 88.0.
Following the SMSU Spring Invitational, the Beavers will travel to Coon Rapids, Minn. to compete in the Minnesota State Invitational Apr. 14 and 15.
