LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Lauren Stockmoe carded a two-round, 165 (+21, 81-84) to tie for 10th individually and lead the Bemidji State University women’s golf team to a sixth-place finish (7 teams) at the Southwest Minnesota State University Spring Invitational held at Wigwam Resort Red Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz. The Beavers totaled a team score of 705 (355-350) in the first event of the 2019 spring season.

Western New Mexico University took home the team title with a score of 639 (322-317), nine strokes in front of second place Lindenwood University (323-325=648).

Behind Stockmoe, Erica Gartner followed by shooting 177 (88-89) to tie for 27th individually while Kalley Wagner followed closely behind at 178 (91-87) to tie for 31st. Elise Stockmoe (95-90=185) and Hailey Hiners (96-102=198) round out the Beavers’ top five scores while Taiylor Ellingson (90-89=179), Geana Guillard (102-109=211) and Grace Van Brocklin (109-115=224) competed as individuals.

Joining Stockmoe and Wagner were McKenna Blaine, Elise Stockmoe and Taiylor Ellingson. Blaine (85-89) and Elise Stockmoe (86-88) each tied for 33rd individually after carding 174 each while Ellingson rounded out the Beavers scoring by shooting 177 (87-90) to finish 37th.

The Beavers will continue play in Arizona this weekend and compete at the Coldwater Golf Club in Avondale, Ariz., for a two-round tournament March 15-16.
