LAKE CITY, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team placed seventh of 14 teams at the Golden Bear Classic Tuesday afternoon at the Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minn. The Beavers were paced by freshman Taylor Offerdahl, sophomore Kalley Wagner and junior Lauren Stockmoe who each shot 163 to tie for 26th individually.

The Beavers totaled a score of 667 (334-333) as a team to finish 15 strokes behind sixth place Concordia University-St. Paul. Augustana University took the team title after combining for a team score of 606 (303-303), 19 strokes in front of second place University of Sioux Falls.
Behind Offerdahl (83-80), Stockmoe (82-81), and Wagner (80-83) was Elise Stockmoe who carded 178 (89-89) and Taiylor Ellingson who carded 183 (93-90). Freshmen Jocelyn Nyblom (85-86=171) and Morgan Sammon (88-87=175) each competed as individuals at the tournament.
The Beavers jump right back into action over the weekend and will travel to Marshall, Minn., to compete at the Mustang Invitational at the Marshall Golf Club, Sept. 21-22.
