LEMONT, Ill. – Freshman Morgan Sammon led the Bemidij State University women’s golf team to a 14th finish at the Lewis Flyer Intercollegiate Invite Tuesday at the Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Ill. Sammon carded a score of 167 (82-85) in the two-round event while the Beavers finished with a team score of 679 (334-345) to finish 14th of 16 teams.

Freshman Taylor Offerdahl wasn’t far behind and was one stroke back of Sammon at 168 (85-83) while sophomore Kalley Wagner followed at 171 (81-90) and Lauren and Elise Stockmoe rounded out the Beavers’ scoring with 175 (86-89) and 181 (93-88), respectively.
Of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference member schools competing at the tournament the Beavers finished fourth and just five strokes back of Upper Iowa University.
The Beavers have next weekend off from play and resume for the final tournament of the fall season Oct. 19-20 for the NSIC Preview at the Dacotah Ridge Golf Club in Morton, Minn.
