Johnson garners WCHA player of the week honors
MADISON, Wis. – Bemidji State University women’s hockey forward Erin Johnson (Sr., Farmington, Minn) was recognized as co-Offensive Player of the Week by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association for her efforts in BSU’s sweep against St, Cloud State over the Jan. 7-8 weekend.

Johnson had both game-winning goals, scoring four points (2G, 2A) in the two games against St. Cloud State. In last Friday’s game, her power-play goal at 4:17 of the second period broke a 1-1 tie and held up as the game-winnner and she later assisted on an insurance goal in the third. On Saturday, Johnson assisted on BSU’s game-opening goal at 11:33 of the second for a 1-0 lead, then put her club up 2-0 at the 13:48 mark with the eventual game-winner.
