Bemidji State earns highest ranking in program history

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s hockey team earned its highest ranking in the national poll after the Beavers (6-0-2, 3-0-1 WCHA) were ranked No. 6 in the latest poll.

The Beavers earn the ranking after they won four out of six points against then ranked No. 6 North Dakota this past weekend.

No. 1 Minnesota retained its top ranking after sweeping Ohio State University and earning 150 points in the poll, and Boston College was voted second after earning 130 points. The University of Wisconsin stands in third place after earning 125 points, followed by Clarkson University (103) and Harvard University (87) to round out the top five.

Bemidji State will continue Western Collegiate Hockey Conference play this weekend by traveling to Madison, Wis. to face the third-ranked Badgers of Wisconsin.
