Women’s Hockey announces 2018-19 schedule

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s hockey program announced its 2018-19 schedule in conjunction with the Western Collegiate Hockey Association release of its 2018-19 league schedule. The Beavers will play 34 regular season games along with 24 in league play for the 21st season in program history.

Bemidji State will open the season September 28-29 with a home series with the defending two-time national champions of Clarkson University at Sanford Center.

The Beavers will then play its first road series of the year by traveling to Providence, R.I., to face the Friars Oct. 5-6 for a non-conference series. After a week off, the Beavers begin conference play with a road series at University of Minnesota Duluth, Oct. 19-20. The Beavers conclude play in October by hosting Minnesota State University, Mankato Oct. 26-27.

Bemidji State will then begin a travel heavy November by playing at University of Minnesota, Nov. 2-3. The Beavers then host their lone series of the month at Sanford Center Nov. 9-10 against Ohio State University. BSU will then hit the road Nov. 16-17 for a series at University of Wisconsin before traveling to Brainerd, Minn., for a non-conference game versus St. Cloud State University, Nov. 19.

The Beavers then host the Huskies after a week break Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 to resume WCHA play before traveling to Mercyhurst University for a non-conference series, Dec. 7-8, to conclude play in the calendar year.

BSU rings in the new year with a non-conference series against Union College (NY) Jan. 4-5 and resumes league play Jan. 11-12 by hosting Minnesota Duluth.

Bemidji State will host Minnesota State for a non-conference game, Jan. 18 and will see the Mavericks again the following weekend in Mankato, Jan. 25-26 to conclude January.

BSU begins the last month of the regular season by hosting Wisconsin Feb. 1-2 before hitting the road in back-to-back weekends at Ohio State and St. Cloud State Feb. 8-9 and Feb. 15-16, respectively. The Beavers end the regular season by hosting Minnesota, Feb. 22-23.

Postseason play will begin Mar. 1-3 with the first round of the WCHA playoffs followed by the WCHA Final Faceoff Mar. 8-9.
