• Academic All-WCHA Played in all 35 games for the Beavers at the blue line...her first collegiate goal came in game two of the WCHA First Round Playoffs against then-No. 8 North Dakota and it would prove to be the game winner...had seven assists on the season...tallied two helpers against St. Cloud State on Oct. 30, 2010...had a total of 65 shots on goal, besting her rookie season mark of 38...her efforts on the blue line helped the Beavers break the record they set last season for fewest goals conceded in a season with 88. 2009-10 (Freshman) Appeared in all 38 games and led all freshman in scoring with 14 points and all defensemen in assists with 14...her fourteen assists ranks second all-time at BSU for most assists by a defenseman in a single season...was a crucial part to a defensive unit that gave up the fewest goals in school history (98)..saw extensive time on the power-play unit...named WCHA Rookie of the week on Jan. 13...named Beaver Pride Female Newcomer of the Year. Prior to BSU Played for Crookston High School, and was a member of the All-Conference squad her freshman and sophomore years...her team took third place in state her sophomore year...was named to the All-Tournament Team and earned the Most Valuable Defenseman award that year as well...was named to the Coaches Association All-State Team her sophomore and junior years, and was named a captain her junior and senior years and hardest worker junior year...is a three-year participant in the National Camp in New York, and has earned letters in hockey, soccer, softball and track during her high school career...was on the All-Conference team while playing soccer, and was a captain and MVP her senior year...was also a part of the soccer team that recently broke the school record for wins in a single season...high school coach was Tim Persson. Personal Erika Marie Wheelhouse...born May. 9, 1991...daughter of Scott and Gerri Wheelhouse...sister is teammate Marlee Wheelhouse...majoring in psychology...minoring in chemical dependency. ![]() |
