BEMIDJI, Minn.  -- Bemidji State women’s soccer head coach Jim Stone has announced three summer soccer opportunities for youth in 2010. A Minnesota Soccer Clinic is slated for Saturday, May 29, while the Varsity Prep Camp (ages 13-18) and Goals Galore Camp (ages 7-12) are set for June 7-11.  

The Minnesota Soccer Clinic is in it’s second year of existence. The purpose of the clinic is to allow high level players to learn from and receive feedback from college coaches. The clinic cost is $45 per player with registration beginning at 11 a.m. May 29 at the BSU Soccer Field. The registration fee includes lunch and a Q&A session with the college coaches.

The Varsity Prep Camp is a great way to get ready for high school/college soccer by honing technical, tactical, mental and physical skills in practice sessions, drills and scrimmages, using techniques taken from clubs/programs all over the world. Includes all new coaches/campers challenges plus a week-long “World Cup Tournament” and prizes. There are two options of registration for this camp, a full camp experience costs $125 per player, while a half day camp fee is $80 per player. Registration also includes a soccer ball and camp T-shirt. Registration deadline is Saturday, May 29. The camp will be held on the campus of Bemidji State University.

The Goals Galore Camp, a camp aimed at the younger athlete, develops soccer techniques of turning, passing, shooting and goalkeeping in a fun training environment, which includes a “World Cup Tournament.” There are also two options of registration for this camp, a full camp experience costs $125 per player, while a half day camp fee is $80 per player. Registration also includes a soccer ball and camp T-shirt. Registration deadline is Saturday, May 29. The camp will be held on the campus of Bemidji State University.
