NSIC soccer coaches pick BSU to finish sixth in preseason poll

The Bemidji State University soccer team was selected to finish sixth in the 2010 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Coache’s Poll. After finishing in sixth place last year with an overall record of 11-6-2, BSU received 104 points in the poll alongside Augustana College which also received 104 points in the poll.


Soccer starts training and announces alumni game

Head coach Jim Stone and the BSU soccer team kicked-off its first day of training for the 2010 season. Stone also announced that this year's alumni game will be held August 21 at 1 p.m. at the BSU Soccer Field.


Bemidji State offers summer soccer camps/clinic

Bemidji State women’s soccer head coach Jim Stone has announced three summer soccer opportunities for youth in 2010. A Minnesota Soccer Clinic is slated for Saturday, May 29, while the Varsity Prep Camp (ages 13-18) and Goals Galore Camp (ages 7-12) are set for June 7-11.


Preble and Pletta named NSIC Honor Student-Athletes

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference today announced its 2010 Honor Student-Athlete and Scholarship award winners, naming Bemidji State University’s Zach Preble (Sr., Multi, Coleraine, Minn.) and Maddie Pletta (Sr., D, Rochester, Minn.) to the list of 26 recipients.


Coach Stone releases 2010 soccer schedule

Bemidji State University soccer head coach Jim Stone announced the finalized schedule for the upcoming 2010 season. The schedule features two teams that will square-off against BSU for the first time in program history, Viterbo University and Minot State University.


Spring game rescheduled

Saturday's exhibition game against the Wayzayta U-17 Premier team has been postponed to Sunday, March 28, at 3 p.m. The game is still set to be played at the BSU Soccer Field.

Bemidji State University Director of Athletics Dr. Rick Goeb today announced that Jim Stone, BSU’s head women’s soccer coach has agreed to a contract extension that will keep him at the helm of the Beaver soccer program through the 2013 season.

The Bemidji State University soccer team announced today the signing of Bronwyn Boyd (Bemidji, Minn.), Stephanie Challes (Andover, Minn.), Elizabeth Erickson (Zimmerman, Minn.), Samantha Lumberg (Woodbury, Minn.), Maria Mcleod (White Bear Lake, Minn.), Danielle Steele (Mankato, Minn.) and Jessica Voeller (White Bear Lake, Minn.) to National Letters of Intent.


Soccer banquet honors players for outstanding ‘09 season

The Bemidji State women’s soccer team held their annual banquet Saturday Dec. 12 as a venue to honor and thank current and former players for their contributions to the soccer program. As part of the banquet, individual awards were handed out to individual players in recognition of their efforts with the team this season.
