BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State women's soccer team took its first step toward the 2011 season today as players gathered for their first practice of the preseason training camp. This video is the first in a series planed to give fans an inside look at the newest edition of the Beavers.
BSUBeavers.com caught up with head coach Jim Stone and senior midfielder Bri Scanlan (East Grand Forks, Minn.) on Day 1 to get their thoughts on preseason camp, being back together as a team and a sneak peek at 2011.
Bemidji State finished the 2010
season with a 14-4-1 overall record and finished third in the league
standings with a 9-3-1 record in NSIC play.
The Beavers host a pair of exhibition games during the preseason before officially lifting the lid on the 2011 campaign Sept. 3 at Northern Michigan University. Saturday, Aug. 20, BSU will scrimmage its alumni at 1:00 p.m. before hosting St. Thomas University (Minn.) Aug. 25 at 3:00 p.m. to wrap up the home portion of its preseason schedule.
