2017 (Sophomore) Kos played and started in all 20 games for the Beavers... Was second on the team with 1,545 minutes... Totalled three assists for three points... Took three shots... Was a key starter for a defensive unit that posted 12 shutouts in 20 matches, which included a 377:18 shutout streak to open the season... In all, the BSU defense allowed just 213 shots in 20 matches (10.65 spg) and 98 (4.9 sogpg) shots on goal... Protected a goalkeeping duo that ranked second in the league in goals allowed (0.50) and goals allowed average (0.48)... Tied her career single-game highs of one assist and one point against Winona State (Nov. 1)...  2017 Fall Academic All-NSIC Team.

2016 (Freshman) Was a staple on BSU's back line playing in all 20 matches with 18 starts as a freshman... Logged one shot on goal... Was third on the team with 1,403 minutes played for an average of 70 minutes per match... Played a pivotal role in seven shutouts by BSU goalkeepers and was a part of a unit that ranked third in the league in goals allowed.

Prior to BSU: Kos came to Bemidji State after earning four letters in soccer and one in lacrosse at Coon Rapids High School… Was a two-year captain for the Cardinals… Scored 19 goals and notched 15 assists in 2015… Earned best team MVP award along with an All-Northwest Suburban Conference award and a three-year all-conference honorable mention awards... Also earned team rookie of the year as a freshman… Played for North Metro Thunder and helped guide it to a 2014 North League Championship and a 2015 NSC Spring Cup Championship.

Personal: Emily Kos was born on February 6, 1998 to Anton and Alice Kos… A dean’s list and National Honor Society member… Psychology and Spanish major at BSU.
