2017 (Senior) Team Captain... NSIC Preseason Offensive Player to Watch... 2017 All-NSIC First Team... 2017 Fall Academic All-NSIC Team... Thelen played and started in all 18 games for Bemidji State totalling 1149 minutes... Scored 5 goals and had 5 assists for 15 points... 16 shots resulting in 9 shots on goal and a .562 shot on goal percentage... Ranked 5th in the NSIC for game winning goals with 4... Ranked 12th for assists and 9th for assists per game... Also ranked 16th in points per game and total points... Thelen tied her previous career single-game high for assists with 2 against Upper Iowa (Sep. 16).

2016 (Junior) Was third on the team in scoring with 20 points in 20 appearances, including 19 starts... Her career-high 12 assists matched Stram for a single-season program record... Her nine assists in league play led the NSIC... She also posted four goals, including a game-winner... A valuable part of the Beavers’ attack, BSU was 9-1-0 when Thelen recorded an assist... She posted multi-assist games Sept. 9 and Oct. 1, both were matches BSU won... First Team All-NSIC... Second Team All-NSCAA.

2015 (Sophomore)
Thalen played in 13 games with eight starts for the Beavers recording seven points (fifth on the team), including three goals and one assist... In addition, she posted 13 shots and put nine of those on frame (.692)... Played a total of 720 minutes.

2014 (Freshman)
Played in all 19 games and statrted in 18 of them... She had three goals and seven assits for a total of 13 points (third on team).. She played a total of 1430 minutes on the season with 19 shots on goal.

Prior to BSU: Thelen came to Bemidji State after a four-year prep soccer career at Andover High School. A four-year letter winner and starter for the Huskies, she he was voted captain as a junior and a senior. Thelen earned All-Northwest Suburban Conference honors to conclude each of her four seasons for the Huskies and was named All-Metro Second Team and All-State in 2013. She led Andover to its first appearance in the Class AA Minnesota State Tournament in 2013. Thelen also played club soccer for North Metro Lightning, a team she led to the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association State Championship in 2012.

Personal: Raquel Renee Thelen is the daughter of Scott and Renee Thelen… Born Sept. 15, 1995… Was a two-sport athlete at Andover High School, she also earned three letters and five all-conference honors and two all-state awards on the track… A four-year academic letter winner, she garnered highest academic honors during each of her high school years… Earned the Academic Excellence Award… National Honor Society member… Plans to study business management at BSU.
