Bemidji State University landed 32 student-athletes on the 2017 Spring Academic All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Team, announced by the league office May 16.
A record number of the BSU Tennis Team members have been named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Team. Senior Morgan Opp and sophomore Zoë Lindgren each earned a spot on the league’s Second Team as singles and doubles players, while freshmen Hannah Alme and Ariadna Lopez-Simo earned a spot on the All-NSIC Second Team for doubles play.
Bemidji State University volleyball and softball standout Jessica Yost and Michael Bitzer, of the men’s hockey team, were named 2016-17 Female and Male Student-Athletes of the Year to headline the 2017 Beaver Nation Celebration athletic appreciation banquet Thursday at the BSU Gymnasium.

The Bemidji State University tennis team earned a 8-1 victory over the University of Mary Saturday, before losing a tight, 5-4 match to Minnesota State University-Moorhead Sunday. Saturday's victory stretched BSU's wining streak to six matches and moved the Beavers to 11-4 on the season to match a program record for wins.
The Bemidji State University tennis team used a pair of non-conference wins to pick up its 10th victory of the 2017 season and improve to 6-0 outside league play, Sunday at the Gillett Wellness Center. The Beavers opened the day with a 9-0 victory over the University of Minnesota Crookston before closing the weekend with a 9-0 win over the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

The Beavers will take on the University of Minnesota Crookston at 9 a.m. and will close out the day against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls at 3 p.m.
