Over 140 friends, fans and alumni of Bemidji State Athletics gathered at the Bemidji Town & Country Club June 21 for the 42nd Annual Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament. The annual event raised $30,000 for the Beavers.
The 42nd Annual Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Friday, June 21 at Bemidji Town and Country Club and it’s not too late to participate. Registration materials for men and women are now being accepted until July 11th for the event to benefit the Bemidji State University Athletic Scholarship Fund.
Bemidji State University senior Zoë Lindgren and junior Ariadna Lopez-Simo garnered all-conference accolades, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced today, after leading the Beavers to an 11-7 record and placing sixth in the league with a 6-5 record in NSIC competition. Lopez-Simo was named Second Team All-NSIC for her singles play, while Lindgren earned a spot on the Third Team. The Beavers’ top doubles pair, Lopez-Simo and Lindgren earned Third Team honors for their doubles play.
The 2019 season came to an end for the Bemidji State Tennis Team Saturday as the seventh-seeded Beavers fell to Minnesota State University Moorhead, the fourth seed, 4-0 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament quarterfinal match.
The Bemidji State University tennis team will travel to Minnetonka to compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament April 13-14. The Beavers, seeded seventh, will take on second-seeded Minnesota State University Moorhead in the first round of the tournament Saturday at the Lifetime Fitness Oakdale Tennis Village. The match will begin at 9 a.m.
Bemidji State University’s Ariadna Lopez-Simo has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tennis Player of the Week in an announcement by the league office. The junior went 4-0 and helped the Beavers post two non-conference victories April 6-7.
The Bemidji State University tennis team completed its 2019 regular season with a 7-0 victory over University of Wisconsin- River Falls. Beaver Tennis seniors, Zoe Lindgren and Breann Walsh, were honored before the match.

The Bemidji State University Tennis Team earned a 7-0 non-conference win at Concordia College Saturday to gain its 10th victory of the season.
The Bemidji State University Tennis team travels to Fargo, N.D. Apr. 6 to take on Concordia College at 2 p.m. They will then host University of Wisconsin- River Falls in its final regular season match Apr. 7 at noon in the Gillett Wellness Center. Seniors, Breann Walsh and Zoe Lindgren, will be honored for their contributions to the Beaver Tennis program prior to the Senior Day match.
