ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- The Bemidji State
University tennis team was defeated by Montana State University-Billings
Tuesday. The Yellowjackets swept the Beavers, 9-0, in nonconference
action in St. Cloud, Minn.
MSU-Billings came out of the gates firing on all cylinders. The
Yellowjackets scored victories at each of the three doubles positions to take a
3-0 lead heading into the singles competition. MSUB would go
on to win all six singles matches in straight sets to cruise to the 9-0 win. The Beavers fall to 1-3 overall and are 1-2 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play. BSU continues its busy week of competition Friday at 4 p.m. when it returns to BSU's own Gillett Recreation-Fitness Center to face University of Minnesota, Crookston in NSIC action. Saturday the team hosts Gustavus Adolphus College for a 10 a.m. nonconference affair.
