Bemidji State lands 23 on 2012 Spring Academic All-NSIC Team

Bemidji State University landed 23 student-athletes on the 2012 Spring Academic All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Team, announced by the league office today.


2012 Walk for Women is a success

The Bemidji State University tennis team wrapped up its 2012 season splitting a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches in Sartell, Minn. The Beavers topped Southwest Minnesota State University, 6-3, for its third victory of the season before dropping an 8-1 decision to Upper Iowa University on the neutral courts of Gold’s Gym April 14.


BSU plays UIU and SMSU in last two matches

The Bemidji State women’s tennis team (2-13, 2-6 NSIC) gets ready to play its last two matches of the 2012 season. The Beavers will play Upper Iowa University and Southwest Minnesota State University Saturday, April 14 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at Gold’s Gym in St. Cloud Minn.

The Bemidji State University tennis team dropped a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) match to Minnesota State University, Moorhead Sunday. The Dragons earned all three doubles points and five of six singles matches for a 8-1 victory in Courts Plus in Fargo, N.D.

The Beavers were swept by St. Cloud State University to open the day of competition at Gold’s Gym before Minnesota State University followed suit with a 9-0 victory over BSU.

The Bemidji State women’s tennis team (2-9) gears up to play a trio of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams at Gold’s Gym in St. Cloud. Saturday, March 24 the Beavers will take on St. Cloud State University at 10 a.m. and then Minnesota State University, Mankato at 4:30 p.m. Sunday BSU will play Winona State University at 9:30 a.m.


Bemidji State’s Westin named NSIC Tennis Player of the Week

Bemidji State University freshman Caley Westin (Virginia, Minn.) has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Tennis Player of the Week in an announcement by the league office today. The freshman gained a pair of victories in the Beavers’ 5-4 victory versus University of Mary March 17.

Meg Hafdahl (Jr., Virginia, Minn.) had a hand in two of BSU's three team points earning a win at No. 5 singles and teaming with Brianna Rueter (So., Freeport, Minn.) to gain the Beavers' only doubles point.

Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Commissioner Butch Raymond today announced that Bemidji State University’s Courtney Anderson (Sr., Virginia, Minn.), Megan Beard (Sr., Eveleth, Minn.), Kelli Christiansen (Sr., Bemidji, Minn.), Brianna Duff (Sr., Ramsey, Minn.), Britney Greenwaldt (Sr., Morris, Minn.), Alison Hougen (Sr., Bemidji, Minn.) and Jessi-Beth McCannell (Sr., Brandon, Manitoba) have been selected as recipients of the third annual NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.
