BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Bemidji State tennis team caps its 2014 regular season with a trio of matches in Grand Forks, N.D. this weekend. The Beavers will face University of Sioux Falls and University of Minnesota Crookston Saturday followed by the regular season finale Sunday versus Minnesota State University Moorhead.
The events will take place at Choice Health and Fitness starting Saturday at 9 a.m. with a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match up with USF before a nonconference match against UMC at 4:30 p.m. Sunday’s clash with MSU Moorhead will begin at 8:30 a.m.
BSU went 0-2 last weekend, playing University of Mary (9-0) and Minnesota State University Mankato (8-1). Abby Vohaska (Jr., Chicago, Ill.) and Justine Scheller (Fr., Mankato, Minn.) won their No. 3 doubles match, 9-7, against MSU, This was the only point the Beavers managed to win last weekend.
Bemidji State’s record is 6-7 overall and 3-6 NSIC, its highest win total since posting a 7-14 mark in 2008.
