BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University tennis team hosted their first home event of the season Feb. 6, vs. University of Minnesota Crookson. The match resulted in a 7-2 victory for the Beavers.
BSU women’s tennis started out the day on top when they took doubles play 2-1. As the Beavers headed into singles play they didn’t run into much trouble as they won five of the six singles matches. The only two matches that Bemidji State dropped were still very close with the No. 1 doubles only losing 8-6, and the No. 1 singles losing by a tie-break.
The Beavers, now 1-0 overall, will travel to Virginia, Minn. tomorrow, Feb. 7, to face University of Minnesota Duluth in a neutral sight match at 10 a.m. to wrap up their first weekend of the 2016 season.
