BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Bemidji State University tennis team is set for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches on the road, at a neutral site, this weekend. The Beavers will face Winona State University Saturday and then take on Upper Iowa University Sunday in Grand Forks, N.D. The matches are set for 3:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
Bemidji State is 1-17 all time when facing Winona State with the only victory being a 7-2 win over the Warriors in 1999. BSU is 0-9 against Upper Iowa all time.
The Beavers are now 2-0 after completing their opening weekend of the 2016 series with a sweep. BSU defeated University of Minnesota Crookston at home, 7-2, before traveling to Virginia, Minn. Feb. 7 for a neutral-site match versus University of Minnesota Duluth, which also resulted in a 7-2 victory for the Beavers.
The Beavers next action will be Feb. 20-21 when they will return home to host Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State University.
