BSU travels to Sioux Falls, S.D. for a pair of matches

BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Bemidji State University women’s tennis team will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. to take on University of Sioux Falls, Feb. 27 and Augustana University, Feb. 28 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action. The Beavers will play Sioux Falls at 6 p.m. on Saturday and Augustana at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Last year the Beavers lost in a close match to Sioux Falls on Feb. 28, 2015 with a score ending in 5-4. BSU women’s tennis also dropped its last match against Augustana, 9-0, March 1, 2015.

The Beavers are now 4-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play after splitting their NSIC matches at home this past weekend. Bemidji State women’s tennis defeated University of Minnesota Duluth for the second time this season with a score of 6-3, Saturday, Feb. 20. The Beavers dropped their second match of the weekend, 7-2, to St. Cloud State University.

The Beavers next matches will take place March 5-6. BSU will take on Concordia College at home in a nonconference match Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m., before traveling to Grand Forks, N.D., to take on University of Minnesota Crookston on Sunday at 10 a.m.
